BROOKSIDE STUDIO WATERCOLORS

At ON THE ROCKS PERENNIALS,
The growing season is ready to begin! Visit Tony at his shop on the Utley road, in East Otto. Tony welcomes the chance to offer gardening advice and information. Whether it's about attracting hummingbirds and butterflies or questions on soil and garden nutrients, Tony draws from his years of expertise and experience to help you solve your gardening dilemmas.

At BROOKSIDE STUDIO WATERCOLORS on Otto Maples road (CR #13), Robin Zefers Clark will be offering original water colors, matted prints, gift cards, distinctive Shadow Box Reproductions and more! Robin's work portrays a breadth of subject matter from the rural themes inspired by the people and buildings around her. Rural nature settings and wildlife are painted with Robin's distinctive watercolor style. Now is the time to bring in your family photos and have your own "GRANDCESTORS" portrait created by Robin. A very special gift, these custom watercolor paintings will portray your family members in a unique way that will become a treasured family heirloom. Be sure to stop by this fall to see her newest additions along with some old favorites, including original watercolor paintings, note cards and T-shirts.

Elliott and Michael Hutten of HOG SHED STUDIO POTTERY are offering a wide selection of functional stoneware items that are sure to please anyone. Stoneware oil candles will also be available for purchase in a variety of glaze colors. When filled with liquid paraffin, these little oil "lamps" are a wonderful alternative to a wax candle and will fit perfectly on a shelf or windowsill. A new litter of HOG-SHED pigs (piggy-banks, that is!) are also waiting to delight you. Brimming with personality, these handmade stoneware piggy-banks will make a great gift for the hard-to-buy-for person. For customers who appreciate something truly unique and beautiful, RAKU pottery will also be on display in the studio showroom. More than any other ceramic process, Raku pottery - which dates back to 16th century Japan - is the spontaneous outcome of planning and chance. The magic of fire and smoke imbues each piece with a life of its own! Come and join us for refreshments and great holiday shopping! Located on Otto Maples Rd, HOG SHED STUDIO POTTERY will be open Wednesday -Sunday, 10AM to 5PM beinning May 1, 2008.
